Aurrigo Founder Awarded MBE for Groundbreaking Autonomous Aviation Technology
David Keene, founder of Aurrigo International plc, has received an MBE for his services to the decarbonisation of airports and innovation in autonomous aviation technology.
Keene’s company, headquartered in Coventry, UK, has become a global leader in driverless technology with its Auto-DollyTug® system, which now operates at six airports worldwide, transforming how luggage and cargo are handled.
Recently, Aurrigo secured a major partnership with Swissport to deploy its autonomous vehicles at Zurich Airport, with additional deployments planned globally.
“When you’ve been in business for four decades, nothing tends to surprise you…until this!” said Professor David Keene MBE.
Keene’s passion extends beyond business as he actively collaborates with universities in the UK and India, sharing expertise and fostering the next generation of engineers.
“We are building something really exciting in the UK that positions us as a real driving force in the world of autonomous vehicles for aviation,” he added.
