100 Days to Build: Inside Europe’s Unconventional Startup Experience

asd

A bold new initiative is challenging the traditional startup playbook by compressing the entire entrepreneurial journey into just 100 days. Dubbed 100 Days to Build, the programme offers founders across Europe an intensive, hands-on experience designed to fast-track innovation—without the constraints of conventional accelerators.

Launched by a collective of seasoned entrepreneurs and investors, the initiative strips away lengthy application processes and equity demands, focusing instead on rapid prototyping, real-world validation, and actionable mentorship. Participants receive €50,000 in non-dilutive funding, access to a network of industry experts, and a deadline-driven framework to transform ideas into market-ready solutions.

A Radical Approach to Startup Building

Unlike traditional accelerators, which often span months and require equity stakes, 100 Days to Build operates on a lean, high-velocity model. “The best way to learn is by doing—not pitching, not planning, but building,” said programme co-founder Marcus Grimm. “We’re giving founders the resources and runway to create something tangible in a fraction of the time.”

The initiative has already attracted attention for its unorthodox structure. There are no demo days or investor roadshows; instead, success is measured by functional prototypes and validated customer demand. “This isn’t about slideshows or vanity metrics,” added Grimm. “It’s about shipping real products that solve real problems.”

Who’s Behind the Movement?

The brains behind 100 Days to Build include veterans from Europe’s tech and venture capital scenes, such as Grimm (formerly of N26 and Project A Ventures) and fellow co-founder Sarah Smith, an early-stage investor with a track record in fintech and SaaS. Their goal? To bridge the gap between ideation and execution while fostering a collaborative, no-nonsense ethos.

“Europe has no shortage of brilliant ideas, but too many get stuck in endless cycles of fundraising and pivoting,” Smith noted. “We’re cutting through the noise to help founders build faster—and smarter.”

Applications Now Open

The programme is seeking its second cohort of founders, with applications open until 30 June. Eligible teams must be based in Europe and have at least one functional prototype. The selected participants will begin their 100-day sprint in September, culminating in a private showcase for potential partners and investors.
