Italy Showcases Cutting-Edge Cybersecurity Innovations at RSAC 2025, From AI to Quantum Cryptography
Italy is set to take centre stage at the RSA Conference (RSAC) 2025 in San Francisco, with a delegation of leading cybersecurity firms and research institutions presenting groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), quantum cryptography, and secure communications. The Italian presence, organised by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), highlights the country’s growing influence in the global cybersecurity landscape.
A Hub for Cybersecurity Innovation
The Italian pavilion at RSAC 2025 will feature 15 companies and research bodies, including top-tier firms such as Telsy, Leonardo, and CINI (National Interuniversity Consortium for Informatics). These organisations will showcase Italy’s expertise in next-gen encryption, AI-driven threat detection, and post-quantum cryptography—a critical field as quantum computing threatens to disrupt traditional security frameworks.
“Cybersecurity is a strategic priority for Italy, both in defence and industrial applications,” said Amedeo Teti, Cybersecurity Lead at the Italian Trade Agency. “Our participation at RSAC underscores Italy’s commitment to fostering international collaboration and positioning itself as a key player in advanced digital security solutions.”
Spotlight on AI and Post-Quantum Security
Among the highlights is Telsy, a Turin-based firm specialising in military-grade encryption, which will present its latest AI-powered cryptographic solutions designed to counter sophisticated cyber threats. Meanwhile, Leonardo, a global aerospace and defence giant, will demonstrate its secure communication systems tailored for critical infrastructure.
Academic contributions are also prominent, with CINI showcasing research on quantum-resistant algorithms. “The transition to post-quantum cryptography is not just theoretical—it’s an urgent necessity,” remarked Professor Paolo Prinetto of CINI. “Our work ensures that enterprises can future-proof their systems against emerging threats.”
Why Italy’s Role Matters
Italy’s strong emphasis on cybersecurity stems from its robust academic-industry partnerships and government-backed initiatives, such as the National Cybersecurity Pole. With increasing global cyber risks, the innovations presented at RSAC 2025 could shape the next wave of digital defence strategies.
The RSA Conference 2025 runs from February 17–21 at the Moscone Center. For more details on Italy’s participation, visit the Italian Trade Agency’s official RSAC portal.
